2nd race – (5) Nomizar ships in from Lone Star where he was competitive in allowance company. Should be the one to beat in a claimer. (4) Liz’s Cable Girl should also be formidable in a claimer. (2) Skamania is worth a look off the Maker claim. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5. Doubles: 2-4-5 with 1-3-5.

3rd race - (5) Hersh has struggled against allowance foes but should perk up against claimers. (1) It’s a Wrap won nicely in the maiden ranks and will be a factor here. (3) Peruvian Boy was third against similar company and will make his presence felt here. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5.

6th race – (6) Trade Deadline has been away for a year-and-a-half but Brown seems to have him prepped for a big effort in this spot. (1) Telephone Talker rallied for second after a lengthy layoff and will be the main threat. (5) Winters Back tired in his debut but may hang on here. (3) Dreams of Tomorrow might respond to the dirt to turf switch. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-6.

8th race – (4) Lookin At Bikinis makes his belated 2020 debut but usually runs well fresh and deserves top billing. (5) Borracho had a rough trip last time but can rebound here. (10) Gray Magician exits graded stakes company and cannot be ignored. (9) Strike That may be tough to catch here. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-9-10. Doubles: 4-5-9-10 with 5-7-9-10.

9th race – (10) Got Stormy seems to have found a new niche in turf sprints and looks best here. (9) Stillwater Cove should be tough here if there’s no rust from a long layoff. (5) Jakarta looks like the one to catch in the stretch. (7) Winning Envelope was second to the top pick last time and will be closing quickly at the end. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-7-9-10.
