11th race – (4) Classic Causeway won the prep for this, the Sam F. Davis, in sharp fashion. Has the kind of speed that will allow him to control the pace again and prove tough to catch in the stretch. (9) Shipsational showed a lively closing kick in finishing second to the top pick in the Sam F. Davis and should be the main threat once again. (11) Money Supply was an impressive debut winner here and could be factor against this field. (8) Major General is a proven stakes winner for Pletcher and should not be ignored despite not racing since September.  Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta and trifecta box: 4-8-9-11.
