Keeneland September Sale Alumni Happy Soul, Golden Pal Headline Opening Day at Saratoga

Keeneland September Yearling Sale alumni Happy Soul and Golden Pal, stablemates in the barn of Keeneland-based trainer Wesley Ward, are featured on Thursday’s opening-day card at Saratoga.

Happy Soul, a winner by more than 11 lengths in each of her last two starts, including the Astoria Stakes at Belmont last month, makes her graded stakes debut in the Schuylerville (G3).

Golden Pal, winner of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G2) at Keeneland last fall, opens his sophomore campaign in the Quick Call (G3).
