1st race – (10) Carnaby Street is working sharply for her debut and can score at first asking. (9) Fabulosity might perk up on turf. (12) Dias Alegras is another Ward firster who merits consideration. (1) Master Som could be a threat from the rail. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-9-10-12. Doubles: 1-9-10-12 with 5-6-7-9.

2nd race – (7) Hawk of War raced wide when his three-race winning streak was ended. Can revert to his winning ways here. (6) Be Here should be more effective in a claimer. (5) Argentello could be a threat in the final furlong. (9) Artie’s Rumor was given a nice freshening after a big win and merits attention. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-6-7-9.

4th race – (7) The Red Fox is worth a long look in his career debut and gets a narrow nod. (11) Margaret Burbidge was fourth in her debut in a stakes and can be a factor against the boys here. (6) Mendel’s Secret seems poised for a big effort in his debut. (12) Decanted should not be discounted in this field. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 6-7-11-12.

7th race – (1) Therapist had a rough trip last time and should be tough to beat from the rail. (6) Max K.O. looks like the one they will have to catch in the stretch. (8) Cupid’s Claws didn’t fire in a stakes but should be a main factor here. (5) Lamplighter Jack will be dangerous on his best try. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-6-8.

9th race – (5) Atone rallied wide and missed by a head last time. Makes amends for that setback today. (1) Ramsey Solution won this stakes last year and looks like the one to fear. (6) Floriform missed by a nose while beating the top choice and should not be ignored. (11) Megacity has a big turn of speed and could lead throughout. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-6-11.
