Ack Naughty, Dam of Grade 1 Winner Practical Move in Foal to Into Mischief, One of Four Supplements to Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale

Eight horses added to November Horses of Racing Age Sale

Keeneland has supplemented four horses, including Ack Naughty, carrying a three-quarter sibling to 2023 Grade 1 winner Practical Move, to Book 1 of the 80th November Breeding Stock Sale on Wednesday, Nov. 8. The session will begin at 1 p.m. ET.

Consigned by Sequel New York, agent, Ack Naughty (Hip 246) is an 11-year-old stakes-placed daughter of Afleet Alex who is in foal to Into Mischief. Into Mischief’s son Practical Joke is the sire of Practical Move, whose three wins in three starts this year include the Runhappy Santa Anita Derby (G1). Practical Move, who scored a 4-length victory at Santa Anita on Oct. 6, is to make his next start there during the Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Nov. 4.

“Ack Naughty is already one of the top broodmares in North America with a promising future,” Sequel’s Becky Thomas said. “Her second foal, Practical Move, is undefeated in 2023. He has added multiple graded stakes victories to his résumé this year, and he is sure to be a strong favorite in the Breeders’ Cup. Mares of this caliber, in foal to Into Mischief, do not become available often, and Sequel is happy to have had the opportunity to both buy and now sell this mare for Chester and Mary Broman at Keeneland.”

Another supplement is Gambling Girl (Hip 245), a 3-year-old stakes-winning filly by Dialed In who this year was runner-up in the Kentucky Oaks (G1) and Gazelle (G3) and third in the Coaching Club American Oaks (G1). Consigned by Highgate Sales, agent, Gambling Girl is out of Tulipmania, a winning daughter of Empire Maker. She is a half-sister to stakes-placed Market Bubble and from the family of Grade 1 winner and Broodmare of the Year Take Charge Lady.

Additional supplements to the November Sale are:

  • Hip 247 is Lady Edith, a 5-year-old multiple stakes-winning and Grade 3-placed daughter of Street Boss out of stakes winner Lady Grantham, by Yankee Gentleman. A 3-length winner of the 2022 Floral Park at Belmont at the Big A, Lady Edith is consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.
