1st race [Clm 25000 N3L, 6 ½ F] – (4) Major Spin was a front-end winner by five lengths and was claimed for $25,000 from that N2L condition. There is not much speed in this small field. (2) One Whirlwind Ride ran second two races back in a N3L race for a $35,000 tag and most recently tried a starter allowance. (6) Amedeus Music was second in a $35,000 claimer and then tried an allowance for NY-breds. (5) Charger has four top four finishes at this race’s level in 2023.

4th race [Alw 82000 N1X, 1 mi] – (1) Ouster won his last NY-bred allowance condition with a career best triple-digit Beyer Speed Figure. He won 3 out of his last 4 starts with his speed figures going up each time. Since he raced against NY-breds only he is still eligible for the first-level allowance against open company. (6) Majority Partner also won out of the state-bred allowances and has a second and a third each time by a neck against open company. (7) Luni Sima won a starter allowance last time with his top speed figure. (5) Shipsational last year was second in the Sam F. Davis (G3) and third in the Tampa Bay Derby (G2).

6th race [Clm 10000, 1 mi] – (9) Vintage Hollywood (C) was bet down from 6-1 to 4-1, had the early lead, battled down the stretch, missed by a nose after getting bumped near the wire, and got claimed for $8,000. (6) Cool Quartet was a winner four races back for $12,500 when he was claimed. Since then he faced harder competition three times. (5) The Revenger dropped out of NY-bred allowances to win an $8,000 claimer against the Hot List horse. (11) Lil Commissioner has five top three finishes in a row and was claimed for $12,500 from a second last time out.

7th race [NY, OC45k/N2X, 1 1/8 mi] – (4) Whittington Park has three improving races with top three finishes where he moved from a first-level allowance win to today’s level. (7) Six Percent won at this level three starts ago, tried the open company allowances twice and now moves back to NY-bred racing with the $45,000 claiming option. (6) Wild Banker won a $32,000 claimer against open company last time is also eligible for this field as a claimer. (2) Sundaeswithsandy was claimed for $25,000 two races ago and was fourth at this level last time.

Best bets: Ouster (4th); Whittingham Park (7th). Best value: Major Spin (1st); Vintage Hollywood (6th).
