4th race [Md 40000, 1 mi] – (2) Global Image made his debut last month at Aqueduct at a short price for Brad Cox in a maiden special weight on a sloppy track and ran third. (4) Magical Ways will make that big drop in class to a maiden claimer for the first time after four solid starts for Bill Mott. (7) Succeed will ship up to New York for the first time after a pair of seconds for trainer Lynn Cash who races at tracks all over the mid-Atlantic region. (6) Steady Progress tried the turf for the first time just six days ago and now moves back to the dirt.

5th race [OF 45k/N1X, 1 1/8 mi] – (3) Know It All Audrey drops out of a series of first and second-place finishes against NY-breds in stakes or top-level allowances and is still eligible for the first open company allowance. She has all four of her wins at Aqueduct. (5) Spiked has two second-place finishes in allowance races at Saratoga and Aqueduct and was a winner in January but was disqualified for a bumping foul. (1) Suspended Campaign was claimed for $32,000 in the winter and moved up to allowances where she had a pair of thirds. (7) Vegas Weekend was claimed from her last four races for prices of $16,000 to $32,000 and was an easy winner for $16,000 last time out.

6th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (4) Rule Breaker was a $1 million purchase as a 2-year-old that debuted at Fair Grounds as the favorite and was a distant third. He now ships up to New York to face NY-breds. (8) Refuah ran second or third in his last nine starts at four different tracks. (7) Wanna Winna has a pair of seconds in his last two starts with a jump in speed figures as he stretched out to nine furlongs. (6) Inspector makes his 2023 debut as a new gelding with blinkers on. He was well bet in his three prior starts for the Asmussen barn.

9th race [Md 40000, 6F TURF] – (2) Don’t Let Me Down began his career on the turf then ran twice on the dirt and most recently tried the Tapeta at Turfway Park. (6) Old Point began his career for Todd Pletcher and was claimed twice most recently for $20,000 by Linda Rice who is excellent off the claim and does well with turf sprinters. (4) Brass Monkey was claimed for $20,000 out of a second-place finish. (5) Leo Fong is a half-brother of Wendell Fong who is a stakes winner and won five times with $365,000 in earnings and will make his debut.Best bets: Global Image (4th); Know It All Audrey (5th). Best value: Rule Breaker (6th); Don’t Let Me Down (9th).
