2nd race [Clm 16000 N2L, 7F] – (5) In Traffic gets a significant rider upgrade as she makes her second start following a layoff after running third at this level behind a horse that came back to win her next race. (2) Afilada broke her maiden two races back for a $20,000 tag and then ran a decent fourth in a starter allowance. Now drops into a winning spot. (8) Tekila is projected to be on the lead in this field while breaking from the outside post as she comes back from a February layoff. (6) Amanda’s Folly broke her maiden for a $25,000 tag and then tried winners in a starter allowance and a state-bred allowance.
5th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (2) Freudmein (A) was second in his debut at 5-1, set the pace, and finished well ahead of the others. (6) On the Ledge showed speed in his first starts setting the pace and finishing second and gets a rider change to the speed jockey Kendrick Carmouche. (1) Storm the Empire and (1A) Under the Knife are a Jeff Englehart trained entry and both get Lasix. (11) Fayette Joker is a son of Practical Joke making his debut for Brad Cox.
6th race [Clm 40000, 7F] – (6) Thinkaboutit (B)was claimed out of his last two starts including getting taken back by hot trainer Ray Handal. (4) Lost in Rome (B) finished third for a $32,000 tag when he set the pace and finished third which was a big improvement. (1) Jake Rocks won 4 out of 5 starts and (1A) Twenty Four Mamba make a Rob Atras entry. (2) Glory Road and (2B) Lastchanceatglory are a Linda Rice entry and both won their last starts.
8th race [OC50k/SAL50k, 7F] – (9) Rol Again Dancer was second in both of his starts this year and was claimed for $25,000 last time after missing by a head. (11) Paros was third in his last two races for Linda Rice. (10) Thunderian was third in a very tough first level allowance and gets a change to Javier Castellano. (2) Winning Connection was second in his last two missing the win last time by a neck after having the lead.
Best bets: In Traffic (2nd); Freudmein (5th). Best value: Thinkaboutit (6th); Rol Again Dancer (8th).
