2nd race [Clm 40000 N2L, 1 mi] – (4) Duke of Gloucester (D) took late money that moved his odds from 9-1 to 6-1 and now he drops into the N2L condition for the first time. (3) Masterwork returned from a six month layoff in a starter allowance after winning a maiden special weight at Laurel Park. (2) Opportunity Set was claimed from his maiden win for $20,000 just three weeks ago at Aqueduct. (5) Thank You Jon exits a series of NY-bred allowance races to try this restricted claiming condition.

3rd race [Alw 50000s, 6F] – (3) Kunshan Bridge (C) got bet down from 8-1 to 6-1 and finished second in a similar starter allowance a month ago. (4) Causes Trouble ships up to the Big A from Parx following a front-end victory in a $40,000 claimer with a speed figure that tops this field. He has seven top three finishes in a row. (1) Kant Beat the Rock and (1A) Kingdom make a Jacobson trained entry where both could be contenders. (2) Burn Jakey Burn missed a win by a neck after stalking trip in a N2L claimer and gets blinkers on now for the first time.

5th race [Md Sp Wt, 7F] – (1) Nikitis (B) climbed from kickback in her third start which was in September at Aqueduct for Chad Brown. At Saratoga she missed the win by a neck ahead of a return winner. (6) Wynning Touch was 9-5 in her debut which was scheduled for the turf but was run on a sloppy track at Aqueduct and gets blinkers on today. (2) Curlin’s Girl made her first start in a turf sprint for Tony Dutrow where she broke slowly, got far behind, and then rallied for second. (4) Very Practical shows a fast workout as part of her preparation for her debut for Shug McGaughey.

9th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (8) Speights Dance (A) moved from turf to dirt in her third start and ran second far ahead of the rest of the field. (5) Photo Finish rallied from behind in her debut to finish second and blinkers go on now. (4) Princess Vino ships up from Florida for her first start for Repole Stable and Todd Pletcher. She is a daughter of the very successful freshman sire Vino Rosso. (3) Handle On You unsuccessfully tried the turf last time after a pair of good races on the dirt including a second in October.

Best bets: Kunshan Bridge (3rd); Nikitis (5th). Best Value: Duke of Gloucester (2nd); Speights Dance (9th).
