th race [NY, Md 30000, 7F] – (1) Accelerina moves from turf to dirt and drops into a maiden claimer for the hot barn of Rudy Rodriguez. (4) Malu will make her third start for Todd Pletcher, cuts back in distance after trying the grass last time and tries a claimer for this first time. (8) Voleuse has eight top three finishes on both turf and dirt and also makes her first run for the $30,000 tag. (9) Essential Life is a daughter of Central Banker who will make her first-time start for George Weaver.

th race [Clm 12500, 1 mi] – (7) Goldini made a late run last time to finish second beaten by just a half-length going the mile distance. (5) Blake B. was a front-end winner last time in the same race as the top choice in his second start following a layoff with improved speed figures. (8) Hammerin Aamer is a veteran of these low-level open claiming races at AQU with a trio of top three finishes in her most recent races. (4) Centavo has been off since August and now makes a significant drop in class to a level at which he had success earlier in the year.

th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (6) Misintention moves from Kentucky for Bill Mott where she just recorded her top speed figure when she rallied to finish second at Churchill Downs. (7) Shirl’s Delight has changed trainers in her last four starts and now lands with veteran Pat Reynolds. Last month she moved from turf to dirt at Churchill and pressed the pace to run third. (3) La Girvina returns from a September layoff for Linda Rice. She was second in her debut at Saratoga. (4) Rayya Valentine broke through the gate before her last start and managed to still press the pace and finish a competitive fourth.

th race [NY, OC80k/N1X, 6F] – (11) Slammin Gold (A) was an easy winner in her third start by five-lengths as an odds-on favorite with a big jump in speed figures. (4) Aggelos the Great (A) raced in a NY-bred stakes last time and was in bad position the entire race while in tight quarters and even brushed the rail but still finished third beaten by less than a length. (1) Running Lucky (B) broke her maiden while in for a tag two races back by more than five lengths. Last time in a starter allowance he pressed the pace but got his heels clipped after pressing the pace. He is in for the optional claiming price. (6) Detective Tom moved from the Steve Asmussen barn to Michelle Nevin and set the pace and was beaten by a head in that state-bred stakes race.

Best bets: Misintention (6th); Slammin Gold (7th). Best Value: Accelerina (4th); Goldini (5th).
