st race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (6) Mel’s Baby Girl (B) improved to a second-place finish after rallying three wide on a track that was favoring speed and the inside paths. (7) Princess Vino was the odds-on favorite in her debut where she broke last after getting taken up. She then rallied to finish third. (1) Lucky and Gorgeous was second in her debut at Tampa Downs earlier in the month as a long shot and changes trainers to a New York barn and faces state-breds now. (3) Sohana will make her first start for Brad Cox. She was a $200,000 purchase in March.

nd race [Clm 16000 N2L, 6 ½ F] – (4) Lady Banker moved from turf to dirt and returned to face NY-breds where she was a clear four-length winner in a $30,000 maiden claimer. (8) Active Lane broke her maiden at Horseshoe Indiana in May by four lengths. After a three month layoff she had the lead but was eased in the stretch and has since changed to the barn of Linda Rice. (2) George’s Vice came back from a seven month break to make her first start after being claimed by Rice and was a front end winner for a $30,000 tag. (3) K D Kakes was second in her fourth try in a N2L claimer with four place finishes in her career.

th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (3) Lambeth is a Juddmonte home-bred that was fourth in his debut in October for Bill Mott at 6-1 and gets blinkers on now. (8) Carolo Rapido is another home-bred making his first start with a big pedigree. He is a son of Curlin out of the Grade 1 winner Cathryn Sophia. (4) Capital Idea has an extensive work tab for his initial start for the Clement barn. (5) Union Bulldog was claimed away from Chad Brown for $75,000 in his second start when he finished second as a heavy favorite.

th race [Clm 14000B, 1 mi] – (5) Ski Patrol (B) rallied to get fourth on a track that was favoring front runners and now drops down in class. (7) Khafre (D) was bet down from 13-1 to 7-1 against similar company. (11) Amani’s Eagle set the pace in a similar spot earlier in the month and finished second. (9) Strong Light will make a big drop in claiming price back down to the price where he won his N2L condition.

Best bets: Lady Banker (2nd); Ski Patrol (7th). Best Value: Mel’s Baby Sister (1st); Lambeth (5th).
