1st race [NY, OC 80k/N1X, 6F] – (5) Prince Valiant was a maiden winner in his second start in January after battling head to head the entire race and earned the highest speed figure in today’s field. (1) Super Swift has the lead last time in the stretch but lost by a nose in a similar spot and gets first-time Lasix now. (2) Just Clarify won his last two races moving from a $40,000 maiden claimer to a starter allowance. (3) Kenny Be was a nine-length maiden winner and then was second in a NY-bred stakes before a fifth in an allowance.

3rd race [NY, Md 25000, 1 mi] – (2) Romeo Void (B) got steadied at the eighth pole but kept running to hold third position. (5) Solar Glare drops down to this low level. He did run third in a $25,000 claimer against open-company. (1) Monomoy Beach ran third in January after contesting the early pace. (4) Revivalism has three competitive finishes in maiden claimers.

5th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/8 mi] – (5) Tracking Error (C) was bet down from 6-1 to 3-1 and rallied to finish third in a 10-horse field with a speed figure that tops this field. (7) Griffin’s Wharf was second in his third career start in December behind the horse that won the Withers. (3) Interceptor made his only start in November for Chad Brown in a race that the victory went to the future Jerome winner. (2) Adventurist was fifth in his debut at 7-2 for Todd Pletcher and Repole Stable.

9th race [NY, Broadway, 7F] – (6) My Magic Wand won her last three starts in a maiden special weight and then the two state-bred allowance levels. In a field loaded with front-runners, she should be able to get an ideal stalking trip. (9) Caldwell Luvs Gold is a past NY-bred stakes winner that was fourth in an open-company stakes last time and is a confirmed late runner. (3) Landed won two NY-bred stakes at Saratoga when shipping up from Kentucky for Wesley Ward. In seven starts she was in the top three every time. (11) Tough Street has been racing against open company and has some big speed figures in her last three races.

Best bets: Romeo Void (3rd); Tracking Error (5th). Best value: Prince Valiant (1st); My Magic Wand (9th).
