1st race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (7) Cairo Sugar made her first start against NY-breds after shipping up from Parx and finished second from a stalking position. (1) Two Redheads moves from the Mark Casse division of DJ Stables to that of Linda Rice after two starts at Woodbine and faces state-breds for the first time. (4) The Splendid One moved from turf to dirt but caught a sloppy track and finished third. (2) Dream On Cara is still a maiden even after racing her last three times in NY-bred stakes races since switching to the dirt.

4th race [Md 50000, 1 mi] – (2) Winning Connection began his career in a pair of maiden claimers and ran well. He stepped up in class, caught two wet tracks, and experimented with blinkers without success. (7) Please Baby ran third for a $75,000 tag after moving from turf to dirt. (8) Sixwillberich had two starts for Tom Morley, was bet each time, ran a little bit in the early going and drops down again. (6) Practicallymine ran a better race when he dropped into the claiming ranks and moved onto the dirt.

5th race [NY, Clm 25000, 7F] – (3) Runningwscissors drops down to his lowest recent level after getting claimed back in November. He will switch from turf to dirt now. He has a great record at Aqueduct. (2) Quickflash was claimed from an easy victory for $14,000 and could get loose on the lead again in this field. (8) Masked Marauder has run well the last three times against open company and goes back to facing NY-breds. (5) Gandy Dancing was also claimed last time following a victory against open company. Last time he ran at today’s level he was a winner.

8th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (6) Callaloo made a big improvement when he finished second and earned his best speed figure. (4) Refuah has finished first or second in his last six starts at three different tracks. (7) Lem Me Drink moved from turf to dirt and now gets blinkers on. (1) Quackenbush has two starts both on the wet tracks for Mark Hennig but had a big improvement in his most recent race.Best bets:  Winning Connection (4th); Callaloo (8th). Best value:  Cairo Sugar (1st); Runningwscissors (5th).
