st race [Md 20000, 6 ½ F] – (2) Sarah’s Pride (B) made her second career start just six days ago and was fractious before the race. After the break, she had to be taken up badly which put her in last and she rallied from there for second. (1) Caiarossa can back from a three month layoff and finished fourth earning a career best speed figure. (3) Afilada has had a lot of chances with eight top three finishes. She gets a positive rider change to Dylan Davis who is winning at a 24% clip at the current meeting. (4) Mostly Harmless also had a lot of starts and in the money finishes and is projected to be on the lead in this field.

rd race [Clm 32000, 6F] – (3) Sicilian Grandma broke her maiden for a $50,000 tag at Saratoga and has been dropping down since then for Tom Morley. (6) Our Rosie Diamonds got her first win two races back for a $40,000 tag and then tried a starter allowance where she finished fourth after a troubled trip. (7) Audit Committee will make her third career start after breaking her maiden last time with a front running effort. She is projected to be on the lead again in here. (5) Magic Miss gets blinkers on for her fourth start. She also got her first win in a $40,000 maiden claimer.

th race [Clm 32000, 6F] – (3) Ragtime Blues set the pace and finished third and was claimed for the $32,000 by Linda Rice whose barn has been winning lots of races at the current meeting. (4) Jemography drops down a notch after running fourth for a $40,000 tag and brings speed to this race. (6) Prisoner makes her third start after a layoff with improved speed figures and she is projected to be on the lead. (2) Senor Jobim returns from a November layoff and switches from the California barn of Jonathan Wong to David Jacobson.

th race [NY, Alw 72000 N1X, 1 mi] – (2) Simply will make his third start to try and win the first-level allowance for NY-breds after a fast second on a fast track and then a third on the slop. (3) Mason Mania has a similar record to the top choice with a second and a third in the same races as him. (6) Overstep returns from a 15 month layoff when he was an easy debut winner followed by a second in a NY-bred stakes race. In both races he was an odds-on favorite. He is a likely winner if he runs back to that form. (4) Timbuktu has been racing against open company and moved from turf to dirt in a starter allowance in his first start after a claim by Michelle Nevin.

Best bets:  Sarah’s Pride (1st); Ragtime Blues (6th). Best value: Sicilian Grandma (3rd); Simply (8th).
