1st race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (5) Avant finished third and then second in her two starts as a 3-year-old for Todd Pletcher and gets a rider change. (2) Randomized was third in her debut at Saratoga and has been away since then. Chad Brown wins with 32% of his runners coming off long layoffs. (6) Gifted has identical results in her last two starts for Bill Mott as the top choice and is due for her maiden win also. (3) Katie’s Checkride will make her debut for the Bond barn that does good work with their firsters.

2nd race [NY, Md 40000, 6 ½ F] – (4) Ukrainian Princess has a trio of top three finishes for Bruce Levine and obviously she is due to get her maiden victory. (2) My Inner Voice finished third in her first start as a longshot behind a horse that came back to win her next start. (3) Aeron Warrior has a third and a second in her two starts in maiden claimers and may be the pace setter in this field. (5) Strange Fruit broke slowly in her debut on a muddy track at Aqueduct and ran third.

5th race [OC50k/SAL50k, 6F] – (7) Paros is in the best form of his career having broken his maiden at Aqueduct by almost 14 lengths in February and then came back to finish third in a similar starter allowance last month. (5) Camm’ Duke finished a length behind the top choice last time out after breaking his maiden against NY-breds by 11 lengths. (4) Bad Water won his only start at Tampa Bay Downs back in January and since then has changed to the barn of Rob Atras so improvement is expected. (8) Little Luca came back from a December layoff to break his maiden in March by more than five lengths.

7th race [NY, OC50k/N1X, 1 mi] – (2) Nineteen Oysters (A) was a debut winner at Aqueduct in February by more than eight lengths going 6 ½ furlongs for Chad Summers and the owner of Instant Coffee and Cyberknife. (7) American Grant (C) was bet down from 9-2 to 9-5 and rallied to break his maiden after ducking in during his stretch run. (5) Dr. Kraft was third in a NY-bred stakes race last time after breaking his maiden in his prior start. (4) Mighty Atlas comes back from an October layoff as a new gelding with Lasix for the first-time having won his last start going a mile.

Best bets:  Paros (5th); Nineteen Oysters (7th). Best value:  Avant (1st); Ukrainian Princess (2nd).
