st race [NY, Md 30000, 1 mi] – (3) Practical Miss (A) came back from a layoff, moved from turf to dirt, raced against the boys, changed barns, dropped in for a tag, and still finished second. (5) Montauk Mystique ran her best race last time when second at this level at Aqueduct last month. (4) Debbie Darling will drop down a bit more after a third and a sixth in two starts following a layoff. (2) Good Morning Kiss did very little running in her 2023 debut but had races last year that fit well with this group. She is projected to be on the lead based on those starts in 2022.

nd race [OC50k/SAL50k), 6 ½ F] – (3) Antenna was claimed for $50,000 from a front-end victory last month by Linda Rice. (5) Progeny broke her maiden for $40,000 just two weeks ago as the favorite for George Weaver. (4) Tavin was a heavy favorite when she also broke her maiden in her most recent race and gets projected to be on the lead against this field. (6) Lika Rolling Stone was a debut winner of a maiden special weight at Finger Lakes and then tried a pair of NY-bred stakes. She gets blinkers on.

th race [Clm 35000B, 1 mi] – (6) Winning Connection won the N2L condition a few races back and since tried a starter allowance and most recently ran in a spot similar to today. (8) Strong Light won at the N2L level two races back with a rally from last and then was third in his first try at this level. (1) Street Swagg has been racing in open claiming races recently and now drops into this restricted claiming condition. (3) Big Bobby has nine top three finishes and looks like a horse that could get into the trifecta.

th race [Clm 30000 N2L, 1 mi] – (4) Anileate (B) steadied twice, lost all chance, and now moves from turf to dirt with some good efforts on the main track. (1) Two Redheads and (1A) Shigeko form an entry where both are win contenders. (7) Monroe has been racing against NY-breds in all of her starts and drops into a claimer for the first time. (6) Karen’s Honor came back from a layoff to run third at today’s claiming level.

Best bets: Practical Miss (1st); Winning Connection (5th). Best Value: Antenna (2nd); Anileate (7th).
