th race [Clm 50000, 6 ½ F] – (6) Five to Two (B) got taken up at the start of her last race that was six days ago putting her in last and she had to rally six-wide to get up for third. (1) Play Good Pay Good will drop back into the claiming ranks for the first time since she broke her maiden. She won a starter allowance at Keeneland in April. (5) Low Society unsuccessfully tried the turf in her last two starts and before that was a winner in an Aqueduct starter allowance on the main track. (3) Grammy Girl was a maiden special weight winner that has shown speed in subsequent races against much tougher fields than this one.

th race [Clm 32000, 7F] – (4) Gentleman Joe has two wins and two seconds this year racing against high claiming competition. He was taken for $40,000 in May by Rick Dutrow whose barn is winning at 27% at the current meeting. (6) Amundson won his last two starts while racing from a stalking position. (5) Kneedeepinsnow returns from an April layoff when she was second for a $40,000 tag and got claimed by Linda Rice. (1) Digital was claimed from her last five starts most recently for $25,000 and cuts back to seven furlongs.

th race [Belmont Derby (G1), 1 3/16 mi TURF] – (5) Endlessly returns to turf racing where he began his career in California winning three times including a pair of Grade 3 stakes races. This year he won twice on synthetic tracks on the Kentucky Derby trail prompting his owners to try the Derby. In the big race, he was last in the early going while running on the dirt for the first time and improved to finish ninth. Trainer Michael McCarthy has felt that he is a superior horse on the grass. (1) Legend of Time is part of the stable that top European trainer Charlie Appleby put together to race In America. He was a winner four times internationally before having a troubled first start in the USA. He bounced back to win the Pennine Ridge (G3) beating two other horses from this field. (4) Trikari won a pair of stakes races this year in the Rushaway at Turfway Park and then the American Turf (G2) at Churchill Downs. Last time in the Penn Mile (G3) he had a troubled trip from start to finish, still got the lead, and lost by a neck. (2) White Palomino is lightly raced with only three starts that include a maiden win and then a head loss in the Pennine Ridge after setting the pace.

th race [Clm 40000 N2L, 7F] – (4) Vespucci drops in for a tag for the first time after four career starts with a first, second, and third at Aqueduct and Monmouth Park. (1) Big Night Out won a $40,000 maiden claimer in May and then tried a starter allowance on the turf. (7) Andy Cant was second both times that he ran in N2L conditioned claimers. (6) Refuah has 13 second-place finishes in his career including his last two starts at the Big A.

Best bets:  Endlessly (6th); Vespucci (7th). Best value: Five to Two (4th); Gentleman Joe (5th).
