(6) Fidelightcayut had the lead in the Jersey Derby just two weeks ago at Monmouth Park and ended up third by a head. This will be his first start against NY-breds. (8) Courtly Banker made his first start on the grass against state-breds in April where he set the pace going a mile and ran third. (9) Grand Opening hit the board in two NY-bred stakes and broke his maiden at Pimlico. He raced a week ago in the Belmont Racing Festival at Saratoga in the Mike Lee and this will be his first start on the turf.

4th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (4) Granadilla showed early speed in both of her starts this year and finished second each time. (3) Focus Pocus takes the blinkers off after four starts where she had the lead at some point and then finished second or third each time. He won 4,144 races and won over $74 million in purses. (9) Paulas Star Sister was $165,000 yearling purchase from the sire Laoban who had a $25,000 stud fee.

8th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi TURF] – (5) Private Property (A) had an excellent debut last month while finishing second for a trainer that rarely wins with first-time starters. (8) Beets (A) rallied wide after a slow start to get up second well clear of the rest of the field for Bill Mott in September and now returns for her second race. (9) Latte Lizzie ran well in two stakes races as a maiden last year and then came back in March to finish second at Gulfstream Park. (2) Strife had the lead and finished second by a half-length in her only start on the synthetic track at Gulfstream. (13) Patty Brown Eyes (B) is entered for Main Track Only.

9th race [Alw 100000 N1X, 1 1/8 mi TURF] – (3) Operation Torch (C) returned from a nine-month layoff which was his first start since moving to the barn of Todd Pletcher. (5) Battle of Normandy has back class with several starts in graded stakes races. He ran second the last time that he raced at this allowance level. (6) Barrage won a starter allowance in his first start of the year. (12) Bold Victory (B) is entered for Main Track Only.

Best bets: The Big Torpedo (3rd); Granadilla (4th). Best value: Private Property (8th); Operation Truth (9th).
