nd race [Alw 100000 N1X, 1 mi] – (1) Donegal Momentum (A) was heavily touted in his debut and won like he is a good one by more than eight lengths. (2) Surface to Air won both of his starts this year moving from a maiden claimer to starter allowance. (6) Lambeth was last seen breaking his maiden in his second start for Bill Mott and now makes his 2024 debut with Lasix for the first time. (4) Bank Frenzy won his second NY-bred allowance last month by more than five lengths, tries the open company allowance, and changes barns.

rd race [NY, OC 45k/N2X, 1 mi] – (7) Rocket and Roll (B) dragged his rider into contention and then weakened. (2) Mighty Atlas moved from success in starter allowances to win a NY-bred allowance by open lengths. (5) Shadow Dragon finished in the top three in his last seven starts in NY-bred allowances. (6) Dr. Kraft gets the same comment with seven finishes in a row where he hit the board.

th race [Md 75000, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (6) Princess Summer (A) got off to a bad start to be far back early and then made up ground on her own. (9) Enigmatic changes barns from Brad Cox to Linda Rice, has been training at Saratoga, and will return to the turf where she showed promise in her debut last year. (4) Philly’s Finest has been off since his first start which was last year and was in a race meant for the grass. (7) Our Finest Hour will drop into a maiden claimer for the first time while getting blinkers on.

th race [NY, Md 30000, 6F] – (3) Stanley Rough (B) stumbled at the start and now has had two bad trips in a row. (13) Hottakejake (A) pressed the pace, got the lead, but held on for third behind two closers. (2) On the Ledge will return from a year layoff when he ran well in maiden special weights. (4) Braca was off since January and gets first-time Lasix.

Best bets: Donegal Momentum (2nd); Stanley Rough (7th). Best value: Rocket and Roll (3rd); Princess Summer (4th).
