st race [Md 20000 N1X, 7F] – (5) No Surrender tried the turf last time without success but moves back to this claiming level at which he has already run well a few times. (1) Hours in a Day also had no luck trying the grass. In his prior start he was second at today’s level and got claimed. (2) Shakin the Belle had a third and a second while racing in maiden claimers for the $20,000 tag. (6) Unaffected has been racing in higher priced races against NY-breds.

th race [Clm 25000 N2L, 1 mi] – (2) Andy Cant (D) was bet down from 8-1 to 6-1 and will drop from a starter allowance that was just too tough. He was second the last time he raced in a N2L condition. (5) Ice Road returns from an April layoff when he finished second in a series of three of these claimers. (3) Endowed was third in his last two races with Irad Ortiz on board. (1) Fighting Back was claimed back from his most recent start by Brad Cox who had the horse in the first nine starts of his career.

th race [NY, Alw 80000 N1X, 6F] – (2) Apollo Code won his last two starts in claimers against open company at Monmouth Park which were the best of his career. He has not raced against NY-breds since last summer at Saratoga. (4) On the Hill was third in his first start since July of 2023 which was in a state-bred allowance. (5) Aggelos the Great has not raced since his 2-year-old campaign when he hit the board three times in NY-bred stakes races. (1) Solos’s Fury gets blinkers on and first-time Lasix for his 2024 debut. Last year he won a maiden special weight.

th race [Md Sp Wt, 6F TURF] – (1) Lamorna (A) was taken up at the start to be 12th in the early going when last seen in October. She then rallied eight-wide to finish second beaten by a just a head. (5) Risk Threshold comes back from an April layoff when she had a pair of top three finishes at Keeneland and Gulfstream Park in her only two starts. (10) Stage Presence rallied from last to get a close second in her debut last month at Monmouth Park. (4) Bam Bam will make her first career start for Brad Cox.

Best bets: Andy Cant (4th); Apollo Code (5th). Best value: No Surrender (1st); Lamorna (6th).
