2nd race [Wonder Again (G2), 1 1/8 mi TURF] – (5) Curlin’s Girl (B) had to steady just after the start of a stakes race and then rallied from last to third. She changes to the barn of Linda Rice. (6) Sweet Rebecca is undefeated in two starts for Chad Brown with a maiden at Gulfstream Park in March and the Memories of Silver at Aqueduct. (3) Vive Veuve won both of her starts this year which were at Gulfstream and was her maiden and the Sanibel Island. (1) Segesta broke her maiden in her third start for Brown which was at Keeneland against a 12-horse field.

6th race [Md Sp Wt, 6F TURF] – (12) La Salvadorena made debut at Keeneland and finished second against 11 horses at 11-1 for a trainer that does not usually win at first asking. She got bumped around and steadied at the start and should show more speed this time. (5) Risk Threshold will cutback in distance for her third start after running third at Gulfstream and then second after setting the pace at Keeneland for Brown. (8) Echo Baybe starter twice last year and was 5-1 both times. She will get Lasix for the first time for her first start of 2024. (10) American Kestrel set the pace in her first start which was at Gulfstream last month and faded to fifth going around two turns.

7th race [NY, Alw 80000/N1X, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (7) American Grant (D) made an excellent appearance in the paddock according to the experts and was bet down from 49-1 to 25-1. (6) Ez Roll was third in his first start of the year against winners. (3) Willintoriskitall was claimed last year for $40,000 and then ran in two NY-bred stakes finishing fourth and third. He has been away since September. (1) Bettrluckythangood was a maiden winner in his first start of 2024 and changes barns now.

8th race [OC50k/SAL50k, 1 mi] – (8) Eric From Miami found the best form of his career in his last two starts with a maiden victory and just missing by a nose in a similar starter allowance after a rough stretch duel. (7) Stormquist was second in his two most recent races which were at this level. (5) Ava’s Uncle Billy is one of a few runners that prefers to be part of the early pace. (3) Cool Operator broke his maiden for $40,000 last month and was claimed by Linda Rice.

Best bets: La Salvadorena (6th); Eric From Miami (8th). Best value: Curlin’s Girl (2nd), American Grant (8th).
