2nd race [NY, Md 30000, 1 mi] – (7) Janssen (A) was second best when he moved from turf back to dirt and he raced wide on a track that was favoring speed on the inside. (2) Senegal was third going long against open company at Finger Lakes after a third at today’s level at Aquduct. (8) Burn Rubber makes his second start for Linda Rice with blinkers on and drops in for a tag. (3) Me Wise Magic comes back as a new gelding and moves from turf to dirt in his second start following his June debut.
4th race [Md Sp Wt, 7F] – (3) Fashion Victim was second in her debut at 5-2 for Chad Brown. (8) Citational will make her second start after the $1.3 million yearling purchase ran third at 6-1. (2) Bundchen has been away since August 2023 as a Wesley Ward runner that ran at Royal Ascot in her second start as a 2-year-old. (4) Grand Job will make her first start in America for Bill Mott after last racing on an artificial surface at Dundalk in Ireland.
5th race [Moc 50000, 6 ½ F] – (3) Someone (A) moved from turf to dirt, dropped into a maiden claimer for the first time, raced seven wide, and finished a clear second. (2) Central Casting (B) broke slowly, got steadied and taken up, and drops into this maiden claimer with blinkers on. (8) Take Me to Londyn will debut for Brad Cox whose barn is red hot all over the country and winning 39% at Aqueduct. (5) Mrs. Manicotti was second at Presque Isle in her second start on the synthetic track.
7th race [OC 50k/N1X, 1 3/8 mi TURF] – (2) Classic Creation (A) did not run a step on a race that came off the turf and was run on a sloppy track. (10) Tide of the Sea was second going 12 furlongs at Kentucky Downs before running in a stakes race that came off the turf. (1) L’Antharis make his first American start in July and finished second in a Saratoga allowance. (6) Swore improved in his second start of the year in an allowance for Graham Motion at Kentucky Downs.
