1st race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (3) Executive Move (B) ran twice at Saratoga and finished third and then was second when he was much the best of the rest of that field. (4) Tiz the Prince (A) got pinched back at the start, got banged around in the stretch, and should have been a winner, although he finished second. (5) Accidental Bid was second in his debut in June at Aqueduct and came back to set the pace going long in a race that came off the grass at Saratoga in August. (6) Humstinger was a $100,000 yearling purchase by Laoban who stands for a $25,000 fee.
3rd race [NY, Alw 80000 N1X, 6F] – (5) Very Stormy broke his maiden at Saratoga and then was fourth at this level after a poor start. (7) Sandy Sweet Tooth ran twice on wet tracks, was a winner by more than four lengths in April at Aqueduct, and gets first-time Lasix. (6) Camm‘ Duke will return to NY-bred competition after two claiming starts where he was part of the pace. The last time he ran at this level he was second by a head at Aqueduct. (3) Brick Ambush was competitive in a few of these NY-bred allowances.
5th race [Futurity (G3), 6F TURF] – (3) Chasing Liberty broke his maiden at Ellis Park during the summer and then was second in the Juvenile Sprint at Kentucky Downs but was moved to first through disqualification after having to check twice. (5) Under Who’s Radar is the horse that was first in that race at Kentucky Downs but got moved to second. (1) Gate to Wire was a winner at first asking at Saratoga as the favorite for Todd Pletcher. (7) Mentee will try the turf after he won his debut at Aqueduct in June and then was sixth in the Hopeful (G1) after pressing the pace.
6th race [Alw 92000 N1X, 6F TURF] – (3) Roswell won her first start at Gulfstream Park and then had four top three finishes in allowance races. Last seen, she tried the Charles Town Oaks (G2). (1) Kid’s Last Laugh needed a bunch of starts to break her maiden, won a starter allowance, and was second in an allowance. She returns from a six-month layoff here. (4) Golden Degree was claimed by Linda Rice at Keeneland in April and proceeded to break her maiden and win a starter allowance by a combined 39 lengths. (2) I’mhavingamoment returns from a January layoff having won both of the NY-bred allowances last year.
Best bets: Executive Move (1st); Roswell (6th). Best value: Very Stormy (3rd); Chasing Liberty (5th).
