2nd race [Beldame (G2), 1 1/8 mi] – (4) Raging Sea is the only graded stakes winner in the field and she won the Personal Ensign (G1) last time. She won 5 out of her last 6 races and four were graded stakes. (3) Libban gets blinkers on, won a stakes race at Lone Star, and then tried a pair of strong graded stakes. (5) Frosty O Toole has top three finishes in several recent stakes including the Molly Pitcher (G3) at Monmouth Park behind Idiomatic. (6) Majestic Creed was claimed from an almost nine length victory in an optional claiming allowance at Parx by Jamie Ness who wins with 30% of his new horses.
4th race [NY, Md 40000, 6 ½ F] – (2) Bubbe Dearest (B) raced eight wide around the final turn and finished second well clear of the rest of the field three weeks ago. (6) Vino Paella drops in for a tag for her second start with blinkers on and moves from turf to dirt. (12) Lightning Mama set the pace in her second start, drops into this claimer, and cuts back some distance. (3) Awesome Roberta is a daughter of Mitole making her first start and Horacio DePaz has good stats in maiden claimers.
8th race [Matron (G3), 6F TURF] – (12) Yougottahavehope (A/C) was bet down from 9-1 to 5-1 for her debut and ran out front every step of the way on the Saratoga main track. (1) Will Not Be Swayed moved to the turf for her third start and won by six lengths at Kentucky Downs after a pair of seconds at Saratoga. (8) Laurice was a debut winner of a fast turf sprint at the Spa at 7-2 odds. (5) Miriam’s Fire also impressed in her first out victory at Aqueduct 17 days ago.
9th race [Alw 92000 N1X, 1 mi TURF] – (4) Unit Economics (A) lunged at the start of his July start, got to the lead, and was caught nearing the wire. (7) Barrage (B) was mid-pack early in the race, went wide, and the top three finishers were all to his inside. (12) Fly Right (C) was bet down as a long shot from 26-1 to 19-1 and finished third as part of a blanket finish. (2) Walley World returns from an April layoff for Chad Brown when he was third in the Woodhaven at Aqueduct.
