3rd race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/8 mi TURF] – (1A) Passive Management made two starts at Saratoga for Chad Brown and improved speed figures and finishes from third to second. (3) Gun Barrel City is a son of Frankel out of a graded stakes winning mare making his debut for Todd Pletcher. (2) Stop the Press has run well for Shug McGaughey throughout his career. (4) Mr Flowers moves back to a maiden special weight after a pair of top three finishes in claimers.  

4th race [Clm 40000, 1 mi] – (1A) Khafre (B) got cut off at the start and was forced to race from behind on the outside against a speed favoring track. (1) Celestial Glaze was claimed two races back for $50,000 after a close third-placed finish. (8) Nimitz Class has 11 career victories with multiple stakes wins and drops into a claimer for the first time. (5) Skylander was claimed for $32,000 from his last two starts at Saratoga when he ran third and second. (4) Rocco Strong missed a win by a nose last month at the Spa and got claimed from that $32,000 race mentioned above.

5th race [Alw 50000s, 1 mi] – (5) Elliptic (B) got checked to the back, was able to get to second, but was passed to finish third. (1) Princess Becca finished a neck back last month in a Saratoga starter allowance after getting to the lead in the stretch. (4) Bobby Jean was entered for the turf in all three starts but ran on the main track including last month when she romped by nine lengths in a $40,000 maiden claimer. (2) La Vita Sofia ran her best speed figure when she won a N2L condition at the Spa a month ago.

9th race [Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (5) Bourbon Milk Punch ran behind speedy fractions in her debut three weeks ago and closed to finish second just a half-length behind. (10) Pretty Liza had a troubled trip in her debut race at Saratoga and still rallied for third just a neck behind in a fast-paced turf sprint. (6) Every Vote Counts has European blood lines on both sides heading into her first start. (7) Silent Dreamer is a royally bred firster by Into Mischief and out of a $1 million earning Grade 1 winner.

Best bets: Passive Management (3rd); Bourbon Milk Punch (9th). Best value: Khafre (4th); Elliptic (5th).
