st race [Md Sp Wt, 6 ½ F] – (6) My Magic Wand (B) broke last in her debut, ran off hard to restrain three to four wide, and finished fifth at 7-1. (2) Back to Gridlock comes back from a May 2023 layoff for Chad Brown after a second and a third in her two starts. (5) Fashion Victim will make her first start for Brown. (3) Citational is another firster and this one sold for $1.35 million as a yearling.

th race [NY, Md 40000, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (1) Judge Rules has a pair of second-place finishes at this level recently. (4) Makeyourmoment has the look of a horse that needed a race and should move forward. (7) Cattani came back from an October layoff when he was second at this level at Aqueduct. (3) Rohan gets blinkers on after his debut which was two weeks ago in a maiden special weight.

th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (6) Classicist (B) jumped at the start of his first race, got squeezed back, ran greenly, and finished third at 3-1. (5) Praetor was third in his debut last month for Chad Brown at Saratoga on a sloppy and sealed track at 7-2. (4) Sovereignty rallied from tenth and last to finish fourth in his first start for Godolphin. (2) Spurgeon moved from turf to dirt for his second race and improved significantly to finish second.

th race [MOC 50000, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (1) On a Summer Day was third in her last two starts in maiden special weights. (7) Early On was third in her debut and changed to the barn of Saffie Joseph Jr. to run fourth with both of those races against NY-breds. (3) Lotus Petal was third in a sales-price restricted maiden at Saratoga last month. (10) Soul Secret ran fifth in her first start in a race that was meant for the turf but was run on a muddy and sealed track. The top two from that race came back to win their next starts.

Best bets: Judge Rules (4th); Classicist (6th). Best value: My Magic Wand (1st); On a Summer Day (9th).
