2^nd race [Alw 95000 N1X, 6F TURF] – (2) Elusive Edge (B) had to pause in traffic at the quarter pole and still finished third in his second start following a layoff. (1) Bold Journey is part of an entry for Bill Mott who ran second in his turf debut after running in the Carter (G1). (8) Fredo ships up from Gulfstream Park after setting the pace in a stakes race and cuts back to a sprint. (7) Famous Gent won a pair of turf sprints at Gulfstream with late running efforts. He drops out of an overnight handicap where he was overmatched.

3^rd race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (6) Meteorite was a heavy favorite in his debut in April and changes barns to Todd Pletcher from Jimmy Jerkens following his departure to train in Saudi Arabia. He set the pace, began to a fade, and then fought back to finish third. (2) Refuah is a veteran of this level with eight finishes in second-place including a race two-back where he was disqualified from first. (7) Battleoflexington had a failed turf debut and now moves back to the main track where he finished a half-length behind the top choice. (5) Blue Plate Special got claimed from a third-place finish as the favorite by Rick Dutrow.

4^th race [Just A Game (G1), 1 mi TURF] – (1) In Italian has four triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures in a row in Grade 1 races that produced three wins. The front running turf star won her 2023 debut at Keeneland in the Jenny Wiley (G1) at Keeneland for Chad Brown. (3) Spendarella was second in the Distaff Turf Mile (G2) at Churchill Downs in her first start of the year. Last year she had three graded stakes victories in America and a second at Royal Ascot in a Group 1. (2) New Year’s Eve made two starts this year with a third in the Modesty (G3) at Churchill. (5) Speak of the Devil was a length behind Spendarella in her last race and beat In Italian a year ago.

5^th race [Alw 50000s, 1 mi] – (4) Fromanothamutha has a second and a third at this level in his last two starts. (3) Long Term broke his maiden two races back and then was third in a starter allowance similar to this spot. (8) Endowed will make his first start of the year with several past races that are good enough to beat this field. (1A) Centavo has four top three finishes in a row including a win by more than six lengths last time in a $35,000 claimer.
