th race [Clm 30000 N2L, 6F TURF] – (5) Candy Monet (A) was last seen racing in a NY-bred allowance at Saratoga where she had a very wide trip and was very hard to handle. (6) Blame It On Paris broke her maiden for a $50,000 tag at Turfway Park and then tried a starter allowance on the dirt when turf may be her best surface. (7) Quick Power Nap was moved off the turf in her last two starts including her first start of this year. Last time on the grass at Saratoga she was a winner and was claimed for $40,000. (11) I’m Nervous Now returns to New York after three top three finishes on the Tampa Bay Downs turf.

th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 7F] – (6) Seize the City (A) got off to a slow start in his debut, took a lot of kickback, and then rallied to finish fifth. (7) Refuah crossed the finish line first after 16 career starts but was then disqualified and placed second after interference in the stretch. (2) What a Mesa will make his career debut who is out of a mare that won $94,000 on the track and has produced four winners from four to start including a NY-bred stakes winner of $554,000. (1) Nobilis will make his first start of the year after running second in his debut at Saratoga and changes to the barn of George Weaver.

th race [Alw 50000s, 6 ½F] – (1) Carbon (D) was bet down from 12-1 to 8-1 just two weeks ago in her first start after getting claimed and the blinkers go on. (8) Icy Reply is in fine form right now and has speed in a race in which a slow pace is expected. (5) Bustin Lulu won her debut easily after getting bet down to even money and could get loose on the lead once again. (7) My Sweet Summer was second in her debut at Saratoga and then did not race again until March at Fair Grounds where she broke her maiden for $50,000 and was claimed.

th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (7) Ocasek (A) steadied in his debut for Chad Brown at 5-1 and rallied to finish second behind an impressive first-time starter. (1) Global Stage was third in his first start at Oaklawn Park and then second at Keeneland for Brad Cox. (6) Majestic Michael was second as a first-timer at Aqueduct last month for Tony Dutrow. (9) Ride Up gets blinkers on after finishing first or second in his first five starts which were all at Aqueduct.

Best bets: Seize the City (7th); Ocasek (11th). Best value: Candy Monet (6th); Carbon (9th).
