Breeders' Cup Friday FULL CARD Hotlist - November 3, 2023

1st race – (5) Go With Gusto was hurt by a wide trip in the Summer Stakes and makes amends here. (3) Lord Bullingdon had a rough trip last time and can rebound in this field. (4) Ultra Power will be dangerous if he takes to turf. (8) Asean is a European who merits attention.

2nd race – (5) Mirinda won her debut easily and looks best here. (6) Prancingthruparis took a nice step forward on dirt. (7) Grand Slam Smile is working smartly for this start. (1) Recalcitrant will be a threat from the rail.

3rd race - (2) White Moonlight is a European shipper who looks best in this field. (12) Playlist should be a main factor despite the wide post. (4) Elm Drive could be tough to catch in this field. (9) Can’t Buy Love may be a main threat in the stretch.

4th race – (12) Mici’s Express didn’t care for turf but should rebound here. (10) Last Call London looks like the main rival. (1) Dr. No No will benefit from a ground-saving trip. (2) Stay On the Fence could take a step forward here.

5th race – The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint - (4) Big Evs was a Group 2 winner in Great Britain and will be tough to beat here. (9) Amidst Waves will be closing quickly and cannot be overlooked. (3) Tiger Belle won her last two starts overseas and merits serious consideration. (2) No Nay Mets could hit a home run in this spot.

6th race – The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies - (7) Tamara has been ultra-impressive in her two wins and deserves top billing. (1) Candied has late speed and should be the main threat. (6) Chatalas will be a factor on her best try. (9) Brightwork can bounce back with a top effort.

7th race –  The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf - (6) Porta Fortuna has the class and the pedigree to stretch out and register a victory. (11) She Feels Pretty was an impressive winner but has a difficult post. (3) Buchu should be a big threat in the final furlong. (12) Hard to Justify is a proven stakes winner but faces an obstacle with a wide post.

8th race – The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile - (6) Locked won the Breeders’ Futurity in a solid showing and looks best in this group. (10) Muth opened eyes with a convincing win over the track in the Grade 1 American Pharoah and seems like the one to fear. (4) Timberlake took a big step forward winning the Champagne and cannot be overlooked. (2) Prince of Monaco is unbeaten in three starts and can wind up in the picture in the end.

9th race – The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf - (2) River Tiber has been racing in Group 1 stakes overseas and has the edge over this field. (8) Unquestionable is another European with a good resume. (7) Agate Road seems the best of the American contingent. (9) Endlessly has the valuable experience of a stakes win over the course. 10th race – (3) Hejazi has been away since April but his works say he’s ready for a big effort. (4) Bus Buzz will be on the lead and may not look back. (2) Ghost of Midnight won easily in his two starts and can threaten the top two. (6) Elector is worth a look despite the lengthy layoff.
