1st race – (6) Malu was claimed by Maker off a good second in New York and looks best here. (2) Hayunevano may wake up in a claimer. 3rd race – (4) Center Stage (A) won her last by a clear margin and should handle this field. (2) Altered Shot put in a sharp bullet work for this start. (6) Punchy Girl exits a stakes and could be a main threat. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-6.

5th race – (5) Mrs. Astor put in a strong rally and settled for second. Makes amends here. (4) Viva La Red looks like the main competition. (2) Janey Creed can make her presence felt in the stretch. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place.  Exacta box: 2-4-5.

7th race – (3) J T’s Imagination has been no worse than third in his last three starts and gets the nod here. (7) Patrolman should be closing quickly at the end.
