Closing-Day Hagyard Fayette Attracts 30 Nominations

Two-time Grade 1 winner Defunded heads a roster of 30 nominations to the 66th running of the $350,000 Hagyard Fayette (G2) on Saturday, Oct. 28. Held on closing day of the 17-day Keeneland Fall Meet, the Hagyard Fayette is for 3-year-olds and up going 1 1/8 miles on the main track.

Two other stakes will be contested on closing day: the 19th running of the $300,000 Bryan Station (G3) for 3-year-olds going a mile on the turf, which drew 32 nominations, and the fourth running of the $200,000 Bowman Mill for 2-year-olds going 6 furlongs on the main track, which has 14 nominees. 

Two stakes will be run Friday, Oct. 27: the 33rd running of the $300,000 Bank of America Valley View (G3) for 3-year-old fillies going a mile on the turf, which drew 48 nominations, and the fourth running of the $200,000 Myrtlewood for 2-year-old fillies going 6 furlongs on the main track, which drew 20 nominations.
