2nd race – (4) Getaway Car debuts for Baffert off some quick works and looks best here. (3) Rank is another interesting firster. (2) Smash It was a distant second in his debut and merits attention. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4.

4th race – (6) De’ Medici was second and third at this level and seems due for a victory. (8) Mucino could use his speed to overcome the outside post. (4) Mischelof might pose a late threat. (5) Dark Marcus fits with this group. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-6-8.

6th race – (2) Cayucos debuts for Mandella and can win at first asking. (9) Hot Girl Walk is another intriguing firster. (3) America’s Mark put in a solid gate work for this. (5) Pavel’s Etoile has a third and a second in two starts and cannot be ignored back on dirt. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place.  Exacta box: 2-3-5-9.

8th race – (2) Mirahmadi returns to the maiden ranks off some stellar works and gets the call here. (6) Santarena was second in his last three tries and can complete the exacta again. (9) Dagger Ranch can get a piece of the purse. (7) Angier should appreciate a switch to dirt. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-6-7-9. Doubles: 2-6-7-9 with 3-6-9-10.

9th race – (6) Iscreamuscream seeks a third straight win and should handle this field in her stakes debut. (10) Medoro is undefeated in four career starts and is the one to fear. (9) Zona Verde can make matters interesting late. (3) Sakura Blossom has a nice late kick and can make her presence felt. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-6-9-10.
