COMMENTS: HOPE ROAD might have too much of an early pace edge at a distance where nearly half win gate to wire. SHOW CARD is undefeated in two at the distance and tend to win or run out of the money. ALPHA BELLA has the most late speed in the race and could be hard to hold if she is close to the front late. SADDLE UP JESSIE has her best published work at Del Mar suggesting she might like the track in her first race there.

COMMENTS: FLUFFY SOCKS finished in the money six of seven at the distance and three of three at Del Mar. OMAHA GIRL showed much better early pace through the first half mile last out and should have more stamina today. NADETTE ran better race internals from start to finish last out. RAQIYA does her best work when she breaks sharply and there is not an abundance of early speed here.

COMMENTS: WAYS AND MEANS won her last three races with ease and could be more fit with three solid works between races. ONE MAGIC PHILLY usually makes a strong move out of the turn and then widening her lead at the finish line. SOCIETY ran the highest last race speed figure and has one of her best published works since. SCYLLA is training her best prepping for today and could be in for a big run if it translates to the track.

COMMENTS: CITY OF TROY has to answer a big question. Can he handle dirt for the first time? Otherwise, he is probably closer to an even money morning line favorite. FIERCENESS is undefeated when he has the lead in the stretch. That is the key here too. NEWGATE could get an ideal trip with the favorites dueling upfront and he has outstanding late legs. FOREVER YOUNG might be the favorite if not for a third by a neck in the Kentucky Derby.
