1st race – (4) Ozone looks like a fast firster from Asmussen who should win at first asking. (5) Can Group has put in some bullet works for his debut and should be the main foe. (3) Magical Monarch should also be in the picture. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5. Doubles: 3-4-5 with 1-3-5.

2nd race – (1) Paddington drops into a claimer and should prove best. (3) Go Cats also gets some relief in a claimer and should be a factor. (5) Fight’n Ready might perk up in this spot. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5.

4th race – (5) Missin Curfew was second in his last two starts and is overdue for a victory. (3) Good Heart won easily last time and seems set for another strong try. (1) Rider’s Special will benefit from a rail trip. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5.

6th race – (8) Jarreau should be well-suited by the distance and can handle this field. (6) Trending figures to be closing nicely at the end. (10) Mount Rundle exits a stakes and fits well here. (9) King Curlin is worthy of consideration in his debut against winners. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 6-8-9-10. Doubles: 2-5-6 with 1-2-5-6.

8th race – (6) Peak Popularity (C) dropped from 3-1 to 2-1 and posted a maiden win. Gets the nod here. (4) Magic Bubbles was no worse than second in her last three starts and should be the main rival. (5) She’s Lookin Lucky has speed and could be tough to catch. (9) Bru Na Boinne will be a contender off her best try. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-6-9.
