1st race – (5) Turf Accountant drops into a claimer and looks best in this spot. (3) Always Royal showed improvement on turf and should be a main threat. 5th race – (4) Principled Stand should be tough to catch in this spot. (5) Border Town has a nice stretch kick and will be closing quickly at the end. (2) Dominate Themoment had a rough trip last time and could be formidable here. (6) Mo Hawk will be part of the early pace and may last for a big share of the purse. 7th race – (1) Endorsed (B) was a good second at Keeneland and gets the nod here. (2) Dr Post has a big class edge but has not raced in more than a year. (3) Legends Can’t Die shows some interesting works on dirt. (4) Paco’s Pico won after a layoff and should not be discounted. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-4. 8th race – (1) Detroit City is equally tough on turf and Tapeta. Can control this race from the rail. (7) Not Phar Now should welcome the cutback to five furlongs.
