2nd race – (9) Sir Terre drops a notch and looks best in this spot. (8) Kartano should be effective at this level. (3) Sarawat might appreciate the stretchout. (4) Backwoods Boogie fits in with this group. (5) Red Flag Alert has enough speed to be a threat. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-8-9.

4th race – (2) Chicken Parm will welcome a return to turf. (3) Well Actually looks like the one to catch in this field. (4) Busy Morning drops a notch and should be a main threat. (5) Silvia V’s Heroes was second and deserves some consideration. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-5.

6th race – (5) Grimes drops into a claimer and may control the pace and the race. (4) Three Zero may like Tapeta. (6) Dropkick Murphy is a threat off his best try. (2) Frisson will benefit from a fast pace. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-6. Doubles: 2-4-5-6 with 1-2-3-7. Pick 3: 2-4-5-6 with 1-2-3-7 with 2-5-9-10.

7th race – (1) Champagne Juan (B) was a sharp maiden winner and can make it two in a row. (7) Henley’s Joy will be a factor off the Joseph claim. (3) Meyer can last for a share of the purse. (2) Utah Beach will be a stretch threat. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place.  Exacta box: 1-2-3-7. Doubles: 1-2-3-7 with 1-2-3-7.

8th race – (9) Paisan rallied for second last time and gets the nod in this field. (10) Somewhere in Time is an interesting first-time starter. (2) Zaino will welcome the shorter distance. (5) Exchange Dreams seems ready for a nice effort in his debut. Betting strategy:  9 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-9-10.
