2^nd race – (6) Show Off won his debut on turf but should handle dirt equally well. (2) Courbe was fourth in a stakes and should be the main rival. (5) Umeboshi comes off a maiden win and deserves respect. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-6.

5th race – (1) Bodenheimer (A) missed by a head and should make amends here. (12) Go Bears Go should be a stretch threat. (4) Heaven Street was a good second last time and cannot be ignored. (2) Biz Biz Buzz fits in nicely here. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3.

7th race – Grade 2 Franklin Stakes - (1) Caravel was fourth at Saratoga and should make amends here to prepare for defense of her Breeders’ Cup crown. (4) Twilight Gleaming should perk up back at Keeneland. (2) Wakanaka figures to be closing late. (7) Star Guest is a foreign invader who merits attention. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-7. Doubles: 1-2-4-7 with 1-3-4-5. Pick 3: 1-2-4-7 with 1-3-4-5 with 1-2-4-10.

8th race – (3) Bourbon Bash was a good second in a stakes and gets the win here. (4) Talkin’ Cash was a winner on synthetics in his lone start back in March, but recent works say he can handle dirt. (5) Billy Jack has speed and could last for a major share of the purse. (1) You Ain’t Poppn should benefit from a rail trip. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place.  Exacta box: 1-3-4-5. Doubles: 1-3-4-5 with 1-2-4-10.

9th race – (10) Bravo Kitten has been away since April but has a good mark at the marathon distance. (1) R Calli Kim seeks a third straight win and is perfectly positioned on the rail. (2) Highland Grace was a competitive fourth in a graded stakes and will be a force here. (4) Sabalenka should be a contender in the stretch run. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-10.
