His connections have been high on him since debut but he was sidelined after a September maiden win. He was second in the Louisiana Derby last time and can continue to make up for lost time here. (5) First Mission was an impressive maiden winner at Fair Grounds for Cox and seems ready to face the challenge of stakes company. (11) Arabian Lion looked like one of Baffert’s top Triple Crown contenders in December but flopped in two stakes tries. Returns after a two-month layoff and should be a factor here. (3) Demolition Duke missed by a neck in a fast allowance race and seems on the upswing. Should be a main contender here. Betting strategy: 6 to win. Exacta and trifecta box: 3-5-6-11.
