The $300,000 San Felipe (G2), Santa Anita – Race 6 – 6:00 pm EST – The San Felipe is a [50-25-15-10-5] points qualifier on the road to the Kentucky Derby. Only Scatify for John Sadler and Mc Vay for John Shirreffs are eligible for those Derby points. (3) Nysos is the top ranked 3-year-old in the country according to the weekly NTRA Top 3-Year-Old Poll. He is unbeaten in three starts winning those races by a combined margin of nearly 27 lengths. Last year he won the Bob Hope (G3). In his only start this year he stretched out to a mile to win the Robert E. Lewis (G3) with the best speed figure for any 3-year-old thus far. (2) Wine Me Up won his debut at Del Mar in September and then ran in four graded stakes. Last time out he was second in the Lewis behind his stablemate. (1) Scatify won his first start at Los Alamitos in December for trainer John Sadler and then set the pace in the Lewis but ended up third. (5) Imagination broke his maiden in his third start at Santa Anita going a mile with a front-end effort and then was third in an allowance after getting floated out wide in the first turn.
