Shortleaf Stable’s Quietside, the leading point earner on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks, arrived at Keeneland Tuesday to continue her preparations for the $1.5 million Grade 1 race at Churchill Downs on May 12.

Winner of the Fantasy (G2) on March 29 and prior to that the Honeybee (G3) at Oaklawn Park, Quietside finished third in last fall’s Darley Alcibiades (G1) here.

“This is her home track; it is quieter here and I am here,” trainer John Ortiz said. “The plan is to have two works here and then her final work at Churchill before the Oaks.”
