Our Shot, a 4-year-old Pennsylvania-bred gelding by Kantharos out of the Northern Afleet mare Fleetheart, was coming off a 1½-length win March 3 at Tampa Bay Downs. He earned $51,243 for today’s victory, which increased his career bankroll to $152,163 with a record of 7-4-0-0.

The 3-1 second choice in a field of nine, Our Shot paid $8.56, $3.34 and $2.94. Multiple Grade 2 winner Bound for Nowhere, making his 2023 debut under John Velazquez, returned $2.72 and $2.10 to show. Finishing third was Friar Laurence, who was ridden by Luan Machado and paid $10.30 to show.
