nd race [Clm 14000B, 1 mi] – (6) T Max was claimed for $30,000 at Ellis Park by Linda Rice and now drops down. She won her first two starts last year in a maiden special weight and then an allowance, each time by five lengths. (5) Luna Loca was taken for $40,000 also by Rice at Belmont Park in May and now drops after a July start at that level. She is expected to be on the lead. (7) Simple Sugar has run well at this level several times. (2) Sweet as Sugar was second at this level in the late winter and spring at Aqueduct.

th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (4) Stunningly has a pair of summer starts that showed big improvement as she finished second for Steve Asmussen. (3) Miss Our Hero will make her debut for Bill Mott. She is by Tapit and is out of a stakes winning mare who has three winners from three to start. (2) Rayya Valentine is the first foal out of a mare that earned more than $657,000 and won the UAE Oaks. (1) Magical Song is a royally bred daughter of top sire Tapit and the Champion Songbird. She moves from the barn of Brad Cox, where she made three starts and finished third in her debut at Keeneland in November, to that of Todd Pletcher.

th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (3) Dancing Mischief (B) stretched out in distance, had to check, raced greenly, checked again, and then finished second at 4-1. (1) Frozen Four finished with good courage to get third in his first career start two weeks ago for the Clement barn. (5) Savage Spirit was sixth in his debut and now stretches out which is often a good move for turf horses. (10) Unaudited pressed the pace in his first start on the turf, had his back heels clipped, and finished sixth.

th race [Clm 50000, 6F] – (1) Seven Nation Army (B) raced six wide while pressing the pace, finished second, and was claimed for $25,000 after that improved effort. (6) Thinkaboutit was a winner last time with a closing move for the $50,000 tag in his first start after getting claimed for $40,000. (2) Prisoner won 4 out of his last 7 starts including last time in a second-level allowance at Monmouth Park. (7) Cees Get Degrees was claimed for $50,000 from his most recent start which was at Saratoga. He has lots of early speed and is projected to be on the lead.

Best bets: Stunningly (4th); Dancing Mischief (6th). Best value: T Max (2nd); Seven Nation Army (9th).
