nd race [Clm 12500, 6F] – (4) Alpine Queen makes a significant drop down to the lowest level in recent races. At Aqueduct she had a win and a second against much better company. (3) Liberty Flame also drops down with good races against better and is projected to be on the lead against this field. (6) Diva Banker was claimed for $32,000 twice recently with a second-place finish at that level and 10 wins in her career. (5) Sue Ellen Mishkin was claimed for $20,000 at Churchill Downs in November and ran against better since the allowance wins at Oaklawn Park and at Indiana.

th race [Bolton Landing, 5 ½ F TURF] – (3) Amidst Waves won the Colleen at Monmouth Park which is also a turf sprint for George Weaver who is in the top 10 of the Saratoga standings. (5) She’s Fire got bumped and had to check in the turn of the Colleen and finished fourth. She broke her maiden at Belmont Park last month. (4) Gram had poor trips in her first two starts having to check both times and broke her maiden at Saratoga against NY-breds. (6) Astonesthrowaway moved to the barn of Todd Pletcher after getting a debut victory at Belmont in June beating a return winner.

th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (8) Lamorna (A) got squeezed back to last out of the gate in her debut at Saratoga last month but still rallied from tenth to finish a close fourth. (7) Memorialize debuted at Colonial Downs got far behind at the break when the rider lost the irons but still rallied for second. (10) Snow Dance pressed the pace, had the lead, and finished third in her first start at Saratoga last month. (6) Goodnight My Angel will make her first start for Todd Pletcher with Irad Ortiz up. The dam was stakes-placed with $163,000 in earnings.

th race [Md Sp Wt, 7F] – (2) Magico was second in his debut at 6-5 last month after pressing the pace. (7) Digitize returns from a 15 month layoff for Chad Brown and had a second and a third last year as a 2-year-old. (6) Silo Ridge pressed the pace in his first career start last month at Saratoga for Bill Mott who is fourth in the trainer standings. (8) Lord Vicente is a son of Into Mischief making his first start for Kenny McPeek who is capable of winning with a firster and this guy has some strong workouts.

Best bets: Alpine Queen (2nd); Amidst Waves (4th). Best value: Lamorna (6th); Magico (8th).
