nd race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (2) Iron Max (B) ran outside and finished second by a neck on the biggest rail bias day of the Saratoga meeting. (1) Scythian ran second the entire race in his debut for Bill Mott three weeks ago at Saratoga with 7-2 odds. (10) Man of Mischief was second in his only starts which were on the main track at the Spa. (6) Richard Ave was second in his only start on the grass which happened last month at Aqueduct for Todd Pletcher.

rd race [NY, OC 45k/N2X, 1 1/8 mi] – (6) Cut the Cord won at this level in June and has a pair of seconds going the nine furlong distance. (4) Mighty Atlas has been off since June following a victory in the first-level allowance for state-breds for Mike Maker who is currently second in the trainer standings. (3) Neural Network will return to the main track where he ran two excellent races earlier in his career. (1) Bossmakinbossmoves was claimed out of a victory for $25,000 earlier in August.

th race [Alw 50000s, 6 ½ F] – (4) Dillinger had the lead and finished second in a similar spot just three weeks ago at Saratoga. (7) Show Time was claimed from his last two starts in Kentucky including a win for a $40,000 tag in June. (5) Turn Up the Trees got floated wide and finished second in his last race which was in a $50,000 claimer at Monmouth Park. (1) Bramito and (1A) Tommy Two Socks make a Linda Rice entry where both would be contenders if they ran in this race but probably only one will go.

th race [Saranac (G3), 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (5) The Big Torpedo won his last two starts in NY Stallion Series stakes races and was second in an open company stakes before that. (3) Take Me to Church makes his American debut after racing at the best tracks in Ireland and winning three races in a row. (1) West Hollywood has three starts in the USA since coming here from England. He broke his maiden at Churchill Downs and won an allowance at Saratoga. (6) The Process won an allowance on the grass at Colonial Downs by four lengths in July to earn a first chance to try a stakes race for Cherie DeVaux.

Best bets: Dillinger (4th); The Big Torpedo (6th). Best value: Iron Max (2nd); Curt the Cord (3rd).
