st race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (10) Katherine Thomas (D) was bet down from 8-1 to 6-1 prior to her first start which was for a trainer that rarely wins with debut runners. She made up some ground in the stretch. (9) Sassy Princess pressed the pace in her first start, was a head from the lead, and finished fourth. (4) Deep Conviction is one of those European yearling purchases that Chad Brown has had so much success bringing to race in America. (1) Positive Carry was also bred in Europe from a prominent sire and will make her first start for Brown.

nd race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (1) Life Talk (A) missed by a head in her debut after rallying from last following a rough start. It was noted that she had the look of a horse that would appreciate more ground and gets it. (5) Dorothy’s Dreams got very far behind in a field of eight in her first start at Belmont Park and rallied to get second. (6) Classy Mischief moved from a second-place finish in her second start to a fourth in the Sorority at Monmouth Park and gets blinkers on. (4) Paradise Lane is out of a mare that was a grade 1 winner and was a debut winner as a 2-year-old.

th race [Alw 50000s, 7F] – (6) Proud Foot (B) has had lots of trouble at the start of recent races including last time when she had to rally to finish second once again. However she has a strong record in these starter allowances. (2) Girl Afraid / (2B) Freudian make an entry for Rob Falcone Jr. where both of them are win contenders. (1) Pillbox returns from a March layoff and goes back to the dirt after three starts at Gulfstream Park. (3) Ice Reply has three second-place finishes at this level.

th race [With Anticipation (G3), 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (2) Spirit Prince (C) was a fast closing second in his debut after getting bet down from 6-1 to 4-1. (7) Nomos is well-bred and was a four-length winner of his first start at Monmouth Park as the favorite for Todd Pletcher. (8) Carson’s Run won his first at Saratoga by a neck for the Clement barn. (1) Gala Brand was also entered in the filly version of this stakes race the day before. She rallied from far back in her debut win in a turf sprint by more than two lengths.

Best bets: Life Talk (2nd); Spirit Prince (7th). Best value: Katherine Thomas (1st); Proud Foot (4th).
