1st race [Md Sp Wt, 5 ½ F TURF] – (4) Silver Circle (A) was second in her debut behind the filly that was the morning line favorite in the Schuylerville on opening day and finished well clear of the rest of the field. (6) Bossy Pants (B) was off slow in her first start and rallied for third for Bill Mott whose young horses usually need a race. (8) La Cara showed tremendous improvement in her second start when she set the pace and finished second in a Churchill Downs maiden race. (1) Kimchi Cat was second in her debut behind a Steve Asmussen horse that was 9-2 in the morning line for the Schuylerville.

5th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/8 mi] – (6) Trulli Warrior (B) was sent off at 9-2 in her first career start and then had to race eight-wide for Todd Pletcher. (7) Protective was third in the Wood Memorial (G2) and the Peter Pan (G3) as a maiden and was sixth in the Belmont Stakes. (3) Itza Mirrakle was second in his first start when he rallied from the back of the field to get second in a race that was fast. (2) Haizum will be a long shot that gets blinkers on after a pair of races that were OK.

6th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (11) La Salvadorena (A) was stuck in tight quarters on the rail, was reluctant to go through, and still finished second. (8) Strife had a pair of seconds in his only two races with the first on the Tapeta track at Gulfstream Park and also on the grass at Aqueduct. (1) Pisciotta and (1A) Deep Satin are both win contenders with only top three finishes in their races. (6) Out too Late debuted at Saratoga last summer and came back to run third last month at the Big A.

10th race [Clm 30000 N2L, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (1) La Maquina (D) was bet down from 7-1 to 9-2 following a 16 month layoff and pressed the early pace. (2) Big Big Star won a maiden claimer at Laurel Park in April and came back to run second in a N2L claiming race for a $30,000 tag. Last month he was fourth in a Delaware Park allowance. (3) Value Engineering will race for a tag for the first time in her first race of the year. Her maiden win was at Horseshoe Indianapolis by almost six lengths. (10) Billy’s Got Issues returned from a two month layoff at Monmouth Park where he set the pace and lost by only a head in an open claimer.

Best bets: Silver Circle (1st); La Salvadorena (6th). Best value: Trulli Warrior (5th); La Maquina (10th).
