nd race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/8 mi] – (5) Refuse to Lose was third in her debut in May at Aqueduct and then came back in June to finish second less than a length behind with an improved speed figure. (2) Save Time improved her figures in all four starts with a pair of seconds in her last two races for Chad Brown and Irad Ortiz. (6) Fazools was second in her debut at Monmouth Park rallying from far back to miss the win by a neck. (1) Fade to Grey was 5-1 in her first start and ran second last month at the Big A.

th race [Clm 16000 N2L, 7F] – (5) Sharper Gal broke her maiden for a $20,000 tag at Churchill Downs in May and then tried a starter allowance. The drop to this level N2L claimer put her in a winning spot. (3) Permed won a $40,000 maiden at Gulfstream Park in March and then faced winners last month at Monmouth Park in another $40,000 race. (8) Malu broke her maiden for $30,000 against NY-breds and faced open company in her last two with a second in a $50,000 race. (6) Pebble Lane returned from a 15 month layoff in a starter allowance, gets blinkers on, and will appreciate the softer spot.

th race [Md 50000, 5 ½ F TURF] – (6) Parade Ring will drop into a maiden claimer for the first time with recent speed figures that top this field. (4) Precisely was an even money favorite in her only start a year ago, set the pace, and finished third for Wesley Ward. She gets first-time Lasix and the blinkers come off. (10) Sassy Allie debuted in a maiden special weight that was meant for the turf in May at Aqueduct at odds of 6-1. (2) Hue was the favorite in her first start in a maiden special weight which was at Churchill last month for Brad Cox.

th race [Md 40000, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (9) Coquito moved to the turf for the first time in May as a longshot and got a speed figure that makes her a contender as she drops in for a tag for the first time. (10) Fantasy Performer debuted in October on the grass at Laurel Park at 5-1 for Chad Brown. She gets Lasix for the first time as blinkers go on and as Irad takes the mount. (8) American Kestrel ran well in a pair of turf races and also will run in a claimer for the first time. (6) Classic Cara ran the best race of her career to finish second when she ran in a maiden claimer for the first time on the grass.

Best bets: Refuse to Lose (2nd); Sharper Gal (4th). Best value: Parade Ring (6th); Coquito (9th).
