5th race [Clm 50000, 7F] – (7) Iridescent ran second the entire race last time in an OC/starter allowance and got claimed for $50,000 and makes his first start for Brad Cox. (6) Tommy Two Socks won a maiden special weight at Gulfstream Park in April and then tried winners in an allowance at the Belmont at Saratoga meeting in June. (3) Squints broke his maiden at first asking at Gulfstream against Fla-breds. Now he has three second-place finishes in a row and drops back in for a tag where last time he missed a win by a head. (5) Sonofaship is a La-bred that has been racing in state-bred races in his last seven starts finishing fourth or better each time with his only two wins.

6th race [Md Sp Wt, 5 ½ F TURF] – (9) Moon Gate was third in her debut last month at Aqueduct at 6-1 after pressing the pace. (2) Abientot was fourth in the same race as the top choice at 8-1 for Mark Casse who already has three wins at the Saratoga meeting. (5) Will Reign makes her career debut and Casse mentioned her in a DRF Grening article. (7) Good Conduct is making her first start and the same could be said for this Cherie DeVaux trainee.

7th race [Alw 50000s, 1 mi] – (6) Own the Field ran second in his last two races at this level including at the June Saratoga meeting. (7) Reserve Currency won 2 out of his last 3 starts, was claimed both times, and Irad now gets on board. (5) Pursuit of Power won a $50,000 maiden claimer by a nose in his seventh start. (3) Furious Anger won an $80,000 N2L claimer last time and was a maiden special weight winner.

10th race [NY, Md 30000, 6F] – (2) Hottakejake (A) pressed the pace in his debut in May and was the only one of the early speed horses to finish well as the top two finishers were closers. (6) Saka Shocka will drop in for a tag in his fourth try for Chad Brown in a move with a 36% win rate. (3) Hey Toby ran his best race for a $30,000 tag in March at Aqueduct when second after getting to the lead. (8) Very Stormy will make his first start after changing to the barn of Bruce Levine.

Best bets: Iridescent (5th); Own the Field (7th). Best value: Moon Gate (6th); Hottakejake (10th).
