rd race [Alw 50000, 5 ½ F TURF] – (1) Maddie Grace has a clear advantage over this field in speed figures with her last two being significantly higher. She was last seen at Belmont Park running second in a starter allowance in May. (7) Boss of All has shown a big improvement in her two races this year with a maiden claiming win followed by a third in this starter allowance level. (6) Western Lane has some back class as a winner of a maiden special weight and was second in her last start with a late rally last month. (4) Golden Dagger won her debut at Turfway Park in April on the artificial surface in a $50,000 maiden claimer with a closing move.

th race [Clm 10000, 1 mi] – [(2B) Musical Heart (B/D) was bet down from 12-1 to 8-1 and got taken up twice and did not appreciate the restraint while finishing fourth on a muddy and sealed track at Belmont last month. (2) Back Ring Luck is part of the entry and makes a big drop down after winning a $32,000 OC starter at Delaware.] (3) Bourbon’s Hope has two wins in a row for Linda Rice who has continued to win races at Saratoga with five in the first four days. (4) Breadman returns from a short layoff, drops back down in class to his winning level after a pair of tough starter allowances. (1) Dontbelate won his last two starts including a race in May by six lengths where he was a voided claim.

th race [Clm 16000 N2L, 1 mi] – (9) Excess Demand is projected to be on the lead in a race that will have a fast pace as he drops down from the $50,000 claiming level for Chad Brown. He did break his maiden at Monmouth Park for a $10,000 tag and was not taken. (8) Magical Ways was over matched in a pair of starter allowances after breaking his maiden for $40,000 and got claimed. (7) Rock the Weekend broke his maiden at Gulfstream Park for Belmont Stakes winning trainer Jena Antonucci with a closing move and should get the right pace scenario. (3) Run Smitty Run broke his maiden for $20,000 at Aqueduct in February and then came back for a $30,000 tag on the turf last month.

th race [Md Sp Wt, 5 ½ F] – (3) Ilikefunsize (B) ran second in her debut behind an impressive Todd Pletcher winner after breaking 10 lengths behind the field and rallying to get second while well ahead of the rest of the others. (9) Khozy Colby was second in her debut at Gulfstream beaten by a length against Fla-breds. The $3,500 yearling purchase was then bought privately by Gary Barber and trainer Mark Casse. (6) Sun and Wind was third beaten by only a neck for the top spot against NY-breds. (8) Almond Fudge will make her debut shipping up from Keeneland and is out of a mare that produced 6 winners from 8 to start.

Best bets: Maddie Grace (3rd); Musical Heart (4th). Best value: Excess Demand (5th); Ilikefunsize (6th).
