3rd race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 5 ½ F TURF] – (1) King Puck (A) was sent off at 4-1 in his debut last month, pressured the pace, and still finished second well clear of the rest. (4) He Has It All will try the turf for the first time after a pair of pace-pressing second-place finishes. (2) Nano Man had his best races on the grass including a second last time. (8) Outtawaterbury cutback to a turf sprint in his second start of the year and ran a career best speed figure.

10th race [Lake George (G3), 1 mi TURF] – (2) Oversubscribed was a winner last month of the Wild Applause at Aqueduct in only his third start for Chad Brown. (7) De Regreso will make her first start away from Gulfstream Park where she won four times on turf or the artificial surface including her last two in stakes races. (6) Sweet Rebecca won the Memories of Silver two races back at Aqueduct for Chad but then had a troubled trip in the Wonder Again (G2). (4) Vive Veuve was third in that Wonder Again following a stakes win at Gulfstream in March.

11th race [Coaching Club American Oaks (G1), 1 1/8 mi] – (3) Thorpedo Anna comes to the CCA Oaks (G1) as the undisputed leader of the 3-year-old filly division based on her impressive victories in her last three starts in the Acorn (G1) at the Belmont at Saratoga meeting last month, the Kentucky Oaks (G1), and the Fantasy (G2). She won all three by more than four lengths. She has only one loss in six career starts and that was last year in the Golden Rod (G2). (1) Candied is one of the other Grade 1 winners in the field having taken the Alcibiades (G1) as a 2-year-old. This year she was fourth in the Ashland (G1) and had a recent victory in the Lady’s Secret at Monmouth Park. (4) Leslie’s Rose was second behind Thorpedo Anna in her last two starts in the Acorn and the Kentucky Oaks. Before that she won the Ashland (G1) at Keeneland. (5) Intricate is the last horse to defeat the top choice and that happened last year in the Golden Rod. This year she has three starts without a victory but was second in June in the Monomoy Girl at Churchill.

12th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 ½ mi TURF] – (9) Four Top (C) was bet down from 5-1 to 5-2 as he dropped into a maiden claimer for the first time. He made a late rally, but it was too late to do better than third and got claimed for $75,000. (1) Factor Analysis raced four times and finished top three each time missing by a neck last time going a long distance on the turf. (3) Artempus returns as a new gelding for Todd Pletcher with a pair of place finishes in her first two races of her career. (10) De La Cruz is racing in good form this year with top three finishes also.

Best bets:  King Puck (3rd); Oversubscribed (10th). Best value:  Thorpedo Anna (11th); Four Top (12th).
